Your privacy matters to me. This policy explains what information I collect when you visit my website, subscribe to my newsletter, download free stories, or contact me, and how that information is used.

2. Information I Collect
Depending on how you interact with my website and services, I may collect:
- Email address: When you subscribe to my newsletter, sign up through a form on my website, or request a free story.
- Name: If you choose to provide it.
- Subscription information: Such as when and where you subscribed, your consent preferences, and whether you have unsubscribed.
- Email engagement: Information about newsletter opens and link clicks collected through my email service provider.
- Download information: Information needed to deliver free ebooks and help resolve delivery problems.
- Correspondence: Information you provide when contacting me through my website’s contact form or replying to an email.
- Technical information: My website, hosting provider, and service providers may process information such as IP addresses, browser types, device information, cookies, and website activity for operation, security, and analytics.
3. How I Use Your Information
I use this information to:
- Deliver free stories and other reader materials you request.
- Send welcome emails, newsletters, publishing updates, book announcements, and occasional promotional information when you have agreed to receive them.
- Respond to messages and reader inquiries.
- Understand how readers use my website and interact with emails and downloads so I can improve future content and communications.
- Maintain website security, prevent abuse, and meet applicable legal obligations.
I do not sell or rent my email subscriber list to other authors, advertisers, or businesses.
4. Email Newsletter — MailerLite
I use MailerLite to manage my email subscribers and send newsletters.
When you subscribe, your information is stored and processed through MailerLite. MailerLite also provides tools for automated emails, subscription management, and measuring email engagement.
You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any marketing email.
Unsubscribing stops future marketing messages, although limited records may be retained to honor your request or comply with legal obligations.

5. Contact Form — Jetpack
My website’s contact form uses Jetpack Forms, a WordPress service provided by Automattic. When you submit it, your name, email address, and message are sent to me by email and stored in my website’s form inbox. Newsletter signup boxes on my website are provided by MailerLite (see above).

6. Free Stories and Downloads — BookFunnel
I use BookFunnel to distribute free stories, bonus content, and other digital reading materials.
When you request a free book, BookFunnel may collect and process information needed to provide the download, verify your email address, assist with delivery, and manage the request.
When you explicitly agree to join my mailing list through a BookFunnel signup page, your subscriber information may be transferred to MailerLite so I can send the author communications described at signup.
BookFunnel and MailerLite have separate roles: BookFunnel handles digital book delivery, while MailerLite manages my author newsletter.
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.
7. Cookies, Analytics, and Website Technology
My website and service providers use cookies and similar technologies for basic website operation, security, and functionality.
I use Google Analytics (through the MonsterInsights plugin) to understand how visitors use my website — for example, which pages are most popular and how people find the site. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this information in aggregate. It does not tell me who you are. You can learn more in Google’s Privacy Policy, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
MailerLite may use tracking pixels and link tracking to measure email engagement.
You can manage or restrict cookies through your browser settings. Some website functions may not work as intended when certain cookies are disabled.
8. Affiliate Links
Some links on my website, including on my book recommendation pages, are affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. If you click one of these links and buy something, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
When you click an affiliate link, the retailer (such as Amazon) may use cookies to track the referral. That retailer’s own privacy policy applies once you leave my site.
9. Sharing Information With Service Providers
I share information only when reasonably necessary to operate my author website, newsletter, and digital book delivery services, or when required by law.
These services include:
- MailerLite: Email subscriptions and newsletter communications.
- BookFunnel: Ebook delivery and reader downloads.
- Automattic (Jetpack): Website contact form and site security.
- Google (Google Analytics): Website analytics.
- WordPress and my website hosting provider: Website operation, hosting, and security.
These providers process information according to their own privacy policies and applicable agreements. Information may be processed or stored in countries outside your country of residence.
I do not provide newsletter subscriber lists to other authors participating in cross-promotions or newsletter swaps.
10. How Long I Keep Your Information
I retain subscriber information while you remain subscribed, or as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service requested.
If you unsubscribe or request deletion, I will delete or limit the use of your information as appropriate, subject to applicable legal requirements and any records needed to honor your preferences.
Messages and other correspondence may be retained as reasonably necessary to respond to inquiries and maintain business records.
11. Your Privacy Choices and Rights
You may contact me to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information I maintain about you.
You can also withdraw your consent to receive marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link.
Depending on where you live and the laws that apply, you may have additional privacy rights, including rights to information about data processing, portability, objection, or restriction.
I will review and respond to privacy requests in accordance with applicable law. I may need to verify your identity before acting on certain requests.

12. Children’s Privacy
This website and author newsletter are intended for a general adult readership. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact me so I can address the situation.
13. External Websites and Social Media

Those services operate under their own privacy policies. I am not responsible for their independent data practices.
14. Security
I take reasonable steps to protect the information entrusted to me and use established service providers to support my website and reader communications.
However, no internet transmission or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

I may update this policy when my website, publishing activities, service providers, or legal obligations change.
