1. What inspired you to become a writer?

I grew up writing stories and still love the tales I created in elementary school. I’ve always been intrigued by what happens behind closed doors, sparking my imagination. The more I read and fall in love with well-written characters, the more I aspire to create characters that readers can connect with and cherish.

3. Who are your favorite authors or biggest influences?

My dad got me hooked on Stephen King back in 7th grade. He creates the most incredible and unique characters and his work is a constant inspiration. Larry McMurtry is another amazing author who has created a plethora of amazing characters. When it comes to creating characters, they are my inspiration.

2. What authors are you currently reading?

I read in every genre and am definitely more of a mood reader. But, right now, I am very into T.J. Klune, Sally Hepworth, S.A. Cosby, Clare Pooley, Fredrick Backman, Mark Greaney, Leigh Bardugo, V.E. Schwab, Diane Chamberlain….and so many more!

4. Can you share a little about the book you’re currently working on?

A fiercely independent family faces the reality of their loneliness when Michael’s health scare brings them together. Conner, his son, reluctantly returns home to small-town life from Chicago, while Susan, Michael’s sister, struggles with her own hidden secrets. As they confront their challenges, Michael must lower the walls he built after his wife left him over twenty years ago. This story explores how family ties can withstand the test of time, revealing that love and connection can be found even in unexpected moments.
